Demand for season passes crashes Bogus Basin’s website

BOISE, Idaho — Early bird season passes went on sale at Bogus Basin today and so many people tried to purchase passes that it crashed Bogus Basin’s website.

The pandemic has shined a light on how popular skiing and snowboarding has become in the Treasure Valley highlighted on opening weekend when the mountain was only open to season pass holders.

Bogus Basin’s general manager assures everybody that they will be able to purchase their season passes for next season.

“The volume crashed our website, our phone lines have been clogged up so what we are asking people is to be patient,” said Brad Wilson, the general manager at Bogus Basin. “You can’t buy a pass right now and use it anyway so you have ten days to buy your pass.”

Wilson encourages people to purchase their passes online instead of going to Bogus Basin’s headquarters.

He also told us they will look at the number of passes sold at the end of March and figure out a gameplan moving forward from there.

Wilson told us they are seeing a record number of people during the weekdays, which is not happening on weekends because they are limiting tickets and those have been sold out almost every weekend.

Bogus Basin also got six more inches of snow last night culminating a week where they got around three feet and it’s looking to be another good weekend on the mountain.
